Hair No More
So let’s talk hair, body hair that is. I absolutely hate maintaining body hair but I also just can’t stand having hair on my body.
Recently, I purchased an IPL but I haven’t really been using it do to the fact that I just hate shaving my legs. I’m only 5’8 and I’m always saying I’m not that tall but when I have to shave my legs I could swear these suckers are extremely long and honestly who has all this time to spend shaving their legs? I just can’t.
So, I devised a plan.
In honor of love thy self and self care I purchased a waxing kit. Now, for those of you that know, yes, you are not supposed to wax and use an IPL. For those of you that don’t know, this is because the laser device actually needs a hair follicle to destroy and when you wax you are removing it from the root. My plan is simple though. I figure I’ll wax and then wait for the follicle to grow back so that the root is present but I’m technically still ‘hairless’ that way it’ll be just as I shaved, and then I’ll use the IPL. In theory this will extend the amount of time I’m silky smooth and lessen the amount of time I spend actually removing hair. I’m also hoping that between waxing and lasering my hair will be too traumatized to grow back.
This is my second waxing kit and I can say this is definitely much better than the first one I brought. For one the temperature is digital so at least now I can see how hot the wax really is. I have sensitive skin and the wax that came from my previous kit actually broke me out. So far I have only used the cream and rose wax from this kit and it was amazing! For me, I find that a cream like texture works best. The downside to this though is that you tend to use more wax. Since you only get samples with the kit, I ended up using almost all of my cream and rose wax just waxing my arms. Unfortunately, this company doesn’t sell their wax separately so you will definitely need to find another company to purchase more wax.
Though there are plenty of companies on Amazon selling hard wax beads, I’m a big DIYer so I’ve been looking into how to make my own. We’ll see how it goes and if you have any helpful tips be sure to connect and let me know.
